Perfect Super System Retreat ONE Root Canal File (SS RO) Step-by-Step Procedure
During root canal filling removal, the canal opening and cavity are dried. The Perfect Super System Retreat ONE file performs better when the canal is dry. For this reason, the canal opening and cavity are dried.
With the Perfect Super System Retreat ONE file, after removing the root canal filling material at high speeds of 500-600 rpm in the coronal section, debris and chips are cleaned from the grooves of the file. The canal is rinsed thoroughly with sodium hypochlorite and dried. Afterwards, the root canal filling is removed in the middle third at 400 rpm while the canals are dry. After the canals are rinsed and dried again and the files are removed... 
After cleaning off any chips and debris, the apical root canal filling is removed at a speed of 200-250 rpm. This reduces the likelihood of the apical filling material overflowing from the apex and lowers the patient's post-procedure pain. Furthermore, if there is a pre-existing step in the canal, the low speed allows the area to be felt, preventing further deepening of the step.
After cleaning off any chips and debris, the apical root canal filling is removed at a speed of 200-250 rpm. This reduces the likelihood of the apical filling material overflowing from the apex and lowers the patient's post-procedure pain. Furthermore, if there is a pre-existing step in the canal, the low speed allows the area to be felt, preventing further deepening of the step. If the root canal filling was insufficient in the previous root canal treatment, the Perfect Super System Retreat ONE file should be used at the length where the old filling ended. To reach the apex beyond the end of the old filling, the 10/06 file from the SS MI kit or the 10/04 file from the SS AK kit can be used.
After root canal dilation is complete, to more effectively remove any remaining root canal filling material, the "Activator File" from the blister pack can be used with an up-and-down brushing motion at 800 rpm while the canals are dry. Then, the same process is repeated with the "Activator File" while the canal contains irrigation solution to increase the effectiveness of the irrigation.

The speed setting should be adjusted according to the root canal area. For the Perfect Super System Retreat ONE Root Canal File, we recommend the following speed settings depending on the root canal area:
- Coronal 1/3: 400 – 600 rpm
- Middle Triple: 300-400 rpm
- Apical 1/3: 200-300 rpm
