Perfect SUPER SYSTEM Advanced KIT (SS AK) Operating Procedure
1. Begin by passively inserting an ISO 10K hand file into the root canal to explore its anatomy. However, do not attempt to reach the apex of the root canal with the 10K file.
2. Using a ruler, measure the length the 10K file travels through the root canal. Then, use the Perfect SUPER SYSTEM Advanced KIT 10/07 Opener file at a speed of 250-400 rpm with an up-and-down brushing motion for the same length as the previously used 10K file. Continue using the Perfect SUPER SYSTEM Advanced KIT 10/07 file at 250-400 rpm with an up-and-down brushing motion until it reaches the length of the previously used 10K file or is 3 mm shorter than the estimated working length. During the shaping phase, the file grooves should be cleaned frequently and the root canals should be thoroughly rinsed.
3. After relieving the coronal and middle third with the Perfect SUPER SYSTEM Advanced KIT file 10/07, proceed to the canal length determination stage. This can be done in two ways. If you are using an integrated endo motor device with an apex locator, set the motor to return mode when it reaches the apex and use the Perfect SUPER SYSTEM Advanced KIT file 10/04 with an up and down brushing motion at a speed of 250-400 rpm until the working length is reached. If you are using the apex locator device separately, use the 10K file to determine the working length and reach the apex, and then use the Perfect SUPER SYSTEM Advanced KIT file 10/04.
4. After reaching the working length with the Perfect SUPER SYSTEM Advanced KIT 10/04 file, you can use the Perfect SUPER SYSTEM Advanced KIT 17/05 Shaper file with an up-and-down brushing motion at 250-400 rpm until the working length is reached.
5. Finally, the shaping can be completed with the Perfect SUPER SYSTEM Advanced KIT 25/04 Finisher file, using an up-and-down brushing motion at 250-400 rpm. At this stage, after the final washing procedure, the root canal can be filled with a single cone, using 25/04 angled gutta-percha and root canal paste.
6. For wider root canals, you can optionally use the SS 35-04 larger file.
7. Once root canal shaping is complete, the Super System Activator file can optionally be used for final activation of the irrigation solution. Use the Activator file at 800 rpm with an up-and-down motion, ensuring it is 1 mm shorter than the canal length.
8. In cases requiring retreatment, the use of Super System Retreat One is recommended for the removal of gutta-percha and root canal filling materials.
