My Thoughts on Perfect Super System Files - Assoc. Prof. Dr. İsmail Davut Çapar
I have been using Perfect Super System files regularly since they were first introduced to the market. The most important aspects that set these files apart from others are their flexible structure, which provides excellent cutting efficiency, shortens preparation time, and adopts a minimally invasive approach in all files. Furthermore, their design, suitable for the crown-down technique, is a major advantage in terms of reducing post-operative pain.
The Evolution of Endodontic Files: The Difference of Super System Files
Previously, we had quite hard and sharp rotary files. With these files, we could quickly open blocked channels, but their lack of flexibility caused problems in curved channels. Then the flexible file era began, but these files generally offered insufficient cutting efficiency. In blocked and narrow channels, the procedure time was longer, and comfortable preparation was not possible due to their flexibility.
The root cause of these problems was that many systems produced the exact same designs of hard files using flexible wires. However, when the design remained the same, flexible wires lagged behind hard wires in performance. Super System files, on the other hand, have a completely original design to eliminate these disadvantages.
Advanced Kit: My Favorite for Shaping Operations
The Advanced Kit has become an indispensable tool in my clinic. The 10/07 file, made from flexible blue wire, quickly opens blocked channels and provides coronal dilation thanks to its robust construction. The file's size 10 tip diameter and 7 taper ratio prevent tip jamming, ensuring safe coronal and mid-third dilation.
Afterwards, I can easily reach the apex with the gold-colored, slim-designed 10/04 file. This file is particularly successful in cases where I cannot reach the apex with a hand file. The optional 08/03 Glider Pro file, designed for challenging canals like MB2, offers extra support in the apical region.
During this process, I hardly ever need a hand file because I use an endomotor with a built-in apex locator. After reaching the apex with a 10/04 file, shaping continues with 17/05 and 25/04 files. This method allows for a faster process by reducing the total number of files used.
The advantage of increasing apical expansion.
Scientific studies show that healing rates increase with increasing apical expansion diameter, especially in teeth with lesions. Super System files offer a comfortable procedure in the apical region without unnecessary coronal expansion.
The Larger series files (35/04 and 45/02) reach the apex without difficulty because their coronal portions are thin and their blades are short. This feature allows for better contact with the canal walls, resulting in more effective cleaning.
Optimal Fit for Filling
Instead of the single-cone method commonly used on the market, I always prefer to perform lateral condensation or use MTA for the apical plug. Super System files work perfectly with single-cone gutta-perchas. For example, it's possible to fill with the correct sizes, such as 20/04 gutta-percha with a 17/05 file, and 25/04 with a 25/04 file.
Minimally Invasive Kit: A Practical Solution
The Minimally Invasive Kit is a very practical system that allows root canal shaping with just two files. It saves significant time in non-complicated cases. If I encounter complex anatomy, I complete the procedure with the Advanced Kit files.
Retreat One: An Innovative Approach to Retreatment Procedures
I can say that the Retreat One file is the most effective retreatment file I have ever used. Cleaning the root canal with a single file is incredibly quick and convenient. Thanks to its flexible structure, it minimizes the risk of step formation in curved root canals.
Wide groove spacing allows the file to work without clogging, maintaining a minimally invasive approach during the procedure. After retention, I use the Activator file to remove gutta-percha residue adhering to the canal walls and activate irrigation for more effective disinfection.
Conclusion
Perfect Super System files offer revolutionary innovations in endodontics. Their modern design, flexibility, and effectiveness make them the ideal choice for achieving superior results in shaping and retreatment procedures.
I highly recommend Super System files to all my colleagues seeking reliable, innovative, and effective solutions in endodontic treatment.
